OPI Save Me - Nicki Minaj Collection

My love for glittery nail polish knows no bounds, even when it contains holographic bar glitter along with the normal circular or hexagonal glitter, and even when it needs three thick layers of top coat to stop it feeling sharp. I don't care. I LOVE glitter.

The glitter polish I'm talking about is O.P.I's Save Me from the Nicki Minaj collection.
I have seen a lot of reviews saying how it's best used as a topcoat over another colour as the glitter is in a clear polish but in my opinion the glitter is so dense if your willing to apply three layers (like I did) it looks so pretty on its own without needing a base colour.
One thing I will definitely say though is that it does need a lot of topcoat because the bar glitter is fairly sharp, you could possibly scratch yourself with it. But it is oh so worth it when you check out the sparkle and shine on my nails.

I've also found it lasts amazingly well, it's survived my work (which melts nail polish) with no injury at all. Although that does tell me it will be a nightmare to get off. But we all suffer for our vices right?

Has anyone else tried Save Me, and if so how did you wear it?

  1. I've only tried Save Me as a glitter topcoat for other colours (I've found it works particularly well with blues and purples). I was a little scared to try several layers of this and wear it on its own as I thought it would take forever to remove!! Have you tried removing it yet?

  4. @Victoria I haven't tried removing it yet, when I do I'm going to do the whole soak and wrap. Usually works on stubborn glitter

  5. This looks lush, annoying that it's a little sharp. And yes I can imagine it being a bit of a mission to take off! x

  6. I picked this up last week but haven't tried it yet. I have a few nails that are peeling (boo!) so I'm using polishes that are a breeze to remove until my issue is gone. I will probably use this over another polish-maybe China Glaze Frostbite.
