MUA BB Cream in Light

On 14th March MUA-Makeup Acadamy launched their version of BB Cream like a lot of other companies have done recently too.

Unlike a lot of other companies though they are not charging the earth for it. Normally coming in at £4.00, I managed to pick it up last weekend while it was on offer at £3.00.

I've been using it ever since.
Inspired by Asian Beauty Balms, the brand new MUA BB Foundation is a full coverage foundation containing a multi-functional formula that conceals, brightens and evens out skin tone for a perfect complexion.

It comes in three shades, light, medium and dark – all new tones developed for the BB Foundation.

I went for the lightest shade being pretty damn pale.
So how do I find the product.

Well when I first opened it to use I actually thought I'd picked up an empty tube as I had to squeeze quite a lot air out in order to get any product out.

The cream, once it was dispensed, was extremely thick. A lot thicker than other BB creams I've seen on offer by western companies, it took a fair amount of blending to work it into my skin seamlessly, personally for this I used my fingers although you could use a brush if you wanted to.

I was really prepared to hate it, with the effort involved in blending and the thick stickiness of the product. But I have surprised myself by actually liking it. It has great coverage, covering up my blemishes until even I couldn't see them, my skin looked flawless and glowing, it lasted all day and I received a good number of compliments on my makeup which wearing it.

I personally think that for £4.00 this is an amazing bargain and a really good product.
Have you tried it or are you going to try it?

  1. I bought it in Med and I love it so, so much, it's just too pale for me. I'm going to check out the dark, but I have a feeling it'll be too orange. Massive hit if it suits you though!

  2. I do wish they'd bring out a wider range of colours tbh. Three doesn't cut it

  3. It does sound as an excellent bb cream, as all the similar products I've heard about do almost nothing about coverage. And they're much more expensive. Did it help/harm your skin (as in did it break you out or calmed your skin down?)? I've had troubles with 2 bb creams in the past and it took quite some time to recover.

    1. It hasn't broken me out and surprisingly the blemishes I did have seemed calmer when I washed my face of the night!

  4. I've been waiting for this to come out for ages. I really dislike the Garnier BB Cream but have high hopes for this and I hope my friend can get me one for the offer price £3.00 I can't wait to get this, probably sometime next week or so. If I like it I would definitely buy it again. Thanks Katie.
