After the amazing fail of February's Glossybox I think many people were really hoping they would pull their finger out for the special box they had planned for March, a lot of time was spent teasing us with word games before it was finally announced that it would be a Harrods special.
For everybody I think the name Harrods invokes the idea of luxury, expense and splendor but for a lot of people I know that is not what they received in their box. (Example to be found here)
I do feel I was one of the 'lucky' ones because my box really pleased me this month.
A lovely white box with the products wrapped in black tissue with the Harrods sticker and distinctive green ribbon I've got to admit I squealed slightly when I saw it.
I do wish slightly that the box had been in the distinctive green of Harrods but at least the ribbon was.
In my box I received;
Narciso Rodrigues- For Her Eau de Parfum
Molton Brown- Heavenly Ginger Lily Moisturise Bath & Shower
YSL- Forever Youth Liberator Serum
Burberry- Lipstick in Rosewood No4
Clarins- Extra Firming Body Cream
Out of all the products the only one I feel is out of place slightly is the Clarins, because it doesn't make me think Harrods. I love Clarins, it's just not Harrods worthy, whereas I am super happy with all the other products.
This for me, more than makes up for February's fail box. But the question remains, will the quality stay this high, or will next months box be a fail again?
