I was lucky enough to be sent 17's Va Va Voom Mascara in Black to try out recently so have been wearing it in lieu of my normal L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes
Described as being able to help you create big, dramatic lashes in one easy sweep using its gigantic brush it sounds like a perfect mascara to try out.
So how did I get on with it?
Well, I like it. For me one sweep created a nice natural, full lashed look. But nothing too dramatic, two coats created the more dramatic look. It seems to be quite a 'dry' mascara, so doesn't deposit to much product all at once which is brilliant for buildable drama, taking you from work to play with just one extra coat. It also lasted all day without the dreaded smudge under the eyes so that gets a major thumbs up from me.
The giant brush was a little hard for me to work with at first, leading to a few mascara smudges on my eyelids, but they were quickly solved with a tissue and a bit of practice.
For £6.49 I think this is a pretty decent mascara.
(Please excuse the photo quality, I haven't got the hang of taking photos of my own eye with my new camera phone as of yet so it's a bit blurry)

I reeeeally want this mascara. I've heard so much about it, and it kind of reminds me of the Soap & Glory one. xoxo

I'm always put off mascaras with big brushes as I tend to get the mascara everywhere! xx
ReplyDeleteI'm the same and the first time I used this I did. But I think I've mastered the trick now
DeleteI have problems sometimes putting on mascara with a normal sized brush, so things would probably be a lot worse with this one. But being such an expert on clearing up my mistakes, I think I'd be fine, and this does sound like a brilliant mascara. I might just have to try it out. Thanks for the review!
ReplyDeleteI'm very happy with it, and it's a saving on my normal purchase so that's always good
