Never having bought MAC make-up before (I know... the shock) I thought it was high time I got myself to the local store and picked up some goodies. So along with a much needed lasting foundation I got myself a new lipstick.
I hm'd and ahh'd a bit because I wanted a sheer colour for day to day wear, but I finally settled on Viva Glam Cyndi a lustre lippie which just the right amount of colour to do a 'my lips but better' look.
One thing I'll say is they definitely know how to package them up all pretty, I love the box and the red inner casing to the lipstick. And the lipstick itself feels very moisturising on application.
I did quite a heavy application here to build up the swatch.
But it was a normal application on my lips, as you can see... it's my lips but better.A very natural (for me) look. I say for me, as my lips are naturally quite red.
I have got another MAC lippie to try now, (Cremesheen- Drive me Wild) having bought it in a blog sale, but as yet I've no pictures of it so it's for a future post. For someone who is a recent convert to lipsticks I'm building up a large collection quite quickly.
Have you any to recommend to me?
This is such a beautiful colour.
ReplyDeleteY'know, I don't have many MAC thingies either. Yeah, a couple of lipsticks but I'm really not that fussed. Their foundations tend to be too dark for me and I can always find cheaper alternatives in drugstores.
They do some nice lipsticks though so they're the only things I buy from MAC.
xx
I'm also a MAC newbie..well relatively speaking. I bought my first MAC item in September so I guess it was a while ago now :)
ReplyDeleteThis lipstick is so pretty! I didn't know it was still available as it's been sold out online.xx
I found this one in the MAC store in Cardiff. :)
ReplyDeleteSo So pretty colour! :))
ReplyDeleteThis is a fab colour on you! Although I'm more partial to the Viva Glam Gaga shades myself!

Heya Lauren, I did look at the Gaga shade, as I plain just love her... but their not my colours. I tend towards reds more.
