Royal Themed Make-up

I thought I'd share a few items that were sent to me to try out by the lovely people at Boots, all the items have a royal/wedding theme and I thought it was quite a fun idea that varying 'royal' named products could be used to create a 'princess' look.

Most of the items (but not all) I got were mentioned in the 'How To' guide I posted before.

(L-R top row) No7 Moisturiser for Men. 17 Blusher in First Kiss. 17 Glitter Eyeshadow in Style Queen.

(L-R bottom row) 17 Photo Flawless Primer, 17 Photo Flawless Foundation in Biscuit and Soft Ivory, No7 Extreme Length Mascara in Sapphire, No7 Moisture Drench Lipstick in Chic, No7 Glitter Eyeliner in Royal, 17 Nail Polish in Royal Rose and No7 Nail Polish in Queenie.

I've got two foundations because there was a slight mix-up in colours sent and I got one far to dark for my skin, so they very kindly sent me one more my shade.

Anyway today I thought I'd share with you the 17 Nail Polish, the No7 Lipstick and the No7 Extreme Length Mascara.

Cue photos..

The nail polish I'd describe as a dusky rose colour, very delicate and very pretty. Perfect for a summer wedding... of course.

The lipstick isn't one I would have brought for myself normally because it's quite a brownish red shade and I prefer redder tones. Saying that it glided on like a dream, felt very moisturised and really wasn't a bad colour match to my own lips.

The mascara looks shockingly blue on the wand, and in this photograph for some reason, yet looking in the mirror and asking other people if they noticed my blue mascara it turns out you really have to look for it to notice it.

The mascara definitely gives length as this picture (see how it doesn't look blue here) shows. It didn't make my lashes look thicker, but they certainly looked longer.

I think having used these few items I'll certainly check out the No7 Moisture Drench lipsticks and Extreme Length mascara in other colours.

So there are just some of the items so far. I'll do some more another day, then hopefully a full FOTD.

Do you like the Royal Theme?

(On another note, the 17 photo flawless foundation in BISCUIT is looking for a new home, I was told to pass it to a friend but I have none who wear that shade. So if YOU do then drop me a comment and it's yours. If more than one person wants it I'll very scientifically get Mr Red to choose who'll get it.) - Foundation is now spoken for.

Also the nail polish looks fab and again something that you could wearing perfectly on the day whatever style of dress or look and just love the name.

But not tooo sure on the mascara...I think I would just always stick to a Black brown or just black on the day!

    Really enjoyed the post :)

  5. I love love love the foundation - its such a shame about the poor quality of colour choice though! I brought it up with 17 and they said they were in the process of developing more. Its good to mix with foundation though when I've got a bit of a tan!

    Love this post.
