Face Mask Monday
Having had a fairly lazy Monday and indulging in a little me time I finally found time to apply my face mask.
The thing with me is I'm always wary with face masks for a couple of reasons, firstly if you're going to have a reaction then your face is the single most noticeable place for that to happen. And secondly I really don't want them to draw out impurities in the form of great big blemishes.
So my go to mask is always Simple Deep Cleansing

Containing natural clay to detoxify and purify, seaweed extract to cleanse, sooth and soften and bisabolol to sooth and calm, this mask helps to draw out impurities from the skin, but then calms it down afterwards so you're not left with a reaction. Be it a red face or a blemish filled face.
The mask is quite runny considering it contains clay, I've found I have to be careful squishing the tube or it'll go everywhere.
It is not what I expected having experienced clay masks that are thick like mud to apply. Simple is more the consistency of yogurt and spreads very easily.
A little goes a long way so one tube of this can last a fair while.
And my favourite bit is.... it doesn't 'set' like most clay based masks do, leaving you with a very stiff, almost painful face and a mess to rinse off. It drys out and goes almost clear, certainly a lot less opaque.
It is incredibly easy to rinse off with no need to scrub at tough patches to remove, great when your skin is sensitive.
With no unnecessary colours or perfumes this mask does the job nicely without ever leaving me a cause for concern.

Great review - I should try this. Have never noticed this in Boots/Superdrug! Will check it out next time I'm shopping.
ReplyDeleteI got it from Boots but I have noticed my local little Boots doesn't have it. Might be a larger Boots jobbie.
