I learnt a lesson last night.
If you ever suspect an eyeshadow is irritating your eyes, don't use it again.
I blame my memory for this one because it had been a while since I last used my Body Shop palette I'd forgotten how my eyes always felt sore afterwards.
After last nights play around with the palette I'm afraid to say I won't be using anymore Body shop eye shadows for the sheer sake of my eyes.
I spent ALL night suffering with stinging, itching, sore skin around my eyes. As nothing else in my routine had changed apart from using the palette again I can only blame it for my discomfort. Even now, several hours later, my eyes still feel sore, tight and incredibly itchy.

Luckily they are not bright red like they feel they should be.. but no eyeshadow/liner is going near my eyes for a while now. And only the lightest sweep of mascara (can't live without mascara)
Have you have any makeup disasters like this one?
I have a love-hate relationship with Bourjois. Their eye pencils and liners irritate my eyes a lot, but at the same time I'm totally OK with their mascaras. Odd? Very.

Very, I've never noticed The Body Shop's face creams irritating my skin, only the eyeshadows..
ReplyDeleteI get the same problem on a lesser scale with No 7 eyeshadow too but I have two colours I love so much I put up with the mild irritation. (Bad I know)
